In its fifth year, the Little Chicago Show & Shine brought out hundreds to the downtown core of Moose Jaw with streets lined with classic models. For the avid car show enthusiast, it was a mecca of grand proportion drawing people of all ages to Moose Jaw, some as far as Ontario, according to Alex Carleton of the Downtown Moose Jaw Association.
Hosted annually by the Downtown Moose Jaw Association (DMJA), the Show & Shine is one that people mark on the calendar to attend. The celebration transforms the city’s heart into an energetic showcase of automotive history and craftsmanship.
This year’s event saw well over 400 vehicles gathered for the car show, with car clubs, individual collectors, and spectators filling the streets throughout the day. Main Street buzzed with lively conversation, classic tunes, and rows of shimmering chrome ranging from painstakingly restored vintage models to custom hot rods. Attendees took the opportunity to peer under hoods, connect with fellow collectors, and share fond memories tied to iconic vehicles from decades pas

“It’s been a fantastic day, been a great day, especially with the sun peaking through,” said Carleton. “Being a part of the Downtown Moose Jaw Association, our goal is to create economic activity and bring the community together
And that is exactly what they did. Local shops and eateries welcomed steady foot traffic, while families and visitors filled downtown blocks to celebrate a shared passion. The success of this year’s event highlights the growing regional reputation of the Show & Shine and features Moose Jaw’s vibrant community.
